Upside Potential - Downside Protection

While many of your customers are likely aware of the improving market conditions over the past year, a significant number of them may also be harboring bad memories of investment losses during the recent bear market. As a result of this trend, we have seen fixed index annuities (FIAs) emerge as a solution to meet the needs of these customers.

FIAs are designed to provide the stability, guarantees and competitive interest rates of traditional fixed annuities, however, what makes these products so remarkable is that they allow customers to participate in a portion of market gains, without the risk of losing principal due to market losses. The upside potential and downside protection features of FIAs are driving the popularity of these products today, especially in financial institutions.

To help bank representatives, Jackson National has introduced a complete training program, implemented on-site at your bank branch to help representatives understand how FIAs work and effectively communicate the benefits of these products to their customers.

JNL's training includes an FIA Starter Kit, which provides an introduction to FIA products and describes the structure and benefits of the products. We also offer an FIA multimedia presentation that reps can use for their own educational purposes, or to educate their customers. As an added step, representatives who complete JNL's training program receive certification to sell FIA's.

Our commitment to training and support is designed to make your representatives feel comfortable and confident with discussing and selling various types of insurance products. We strive to be thorough in our training so that your representatives can help make the best choices for their customers.

Fixed index annuities are issued by Jackson National Life Insurance Company®, Home Office: Lansing, Michigan. Not available in all states and state variations may apply. These contracts do not directly participate in any stock or equity investments, and have limitations and restrictions. During the Indexed Option period (the chosen term), the annuity's cash withdrawal value may be worth less than the principal allocation. For costs and complete details, contact your Internal Wholesaler. JNL® offers other fixed index annuities that offer different product features, benefits and charges, including different minimum guarantees, withdrawal privileges, contract options, withdrawal charges, Index Participation Rates, and Maximum Credited Interest (Caps). All guarantees are backed by the claims-paying ability of Jackson National Life Insurance Company. An annuity is a long-term, tax-deferred vehicle designed for retirement. Earnings are taxable as ordinary income when distributed, and if withdrawn before age 59½, may be subject to a 10% federal tax penalty. If you are considering an annuity to fund a qualified plan, such as a 401(k) or an IRA, the taxdeferral feature offers no additional value. The S&P 500® Index is a market capitalization-weighted index of 500 stocks that are selected by Standard & Poor's® to represent a broad array of large companies in leading industries, and is widely regarded as one of the best single gauges of the U.S. equities market. The S&P 500® Index is unmanaged, does not reflect dividends paid on stocks underlying the index, and is not available for direct investment. Our mission is simply to provide the best combination of products, sales support and service in the industry. IMG is your one-stop shop for fixed annuities, fixed index annuities, variable annuities, and life insurance.
